I have 60+ years of hearing aid usage. The last twenty years I have owned the most expensive. I bought my first $300 pair of neosonics 3 years ago, and this pair a year ago. Let me emphasize I did NOT NEED a replacement. My first pair provide excellent hearing and no issues in 3 years. Three years ago my $8,000/pr provider started prepping me to replace my 5 year old pair, or renovate for $525 EACH. I decided to try the $300 pair. The $$$ math was no risk/big reward. The neosonics are excellent. The neosonics provide excellent hearing. Full disclosure, the neosonics provide only upgrade hearing. No Bluetooth, no IPhone, no TV link. I wanted good hearing. I got good hearing. I rotate the 3 hearing aids. I STRONGLY recommend try the neosonics.
Recently, I purchased the NW20 Neckband Listener as a gift for my spouse. Both of us struggle to understand the dialogue emanating from our flat screen tv. Sound bars were no help. What a pleasant, unexpected surprise and what a difference it has made for both of us! And the neckband passed what I consider the true test - understanding British dialogue. The sound coming through the earbuds is crisp and clear. Set up was easy. I am delighted with this purchase.
I have severe hearing loss. I was so frustrated with regular hearing aids. I paid 500.00 to 3,000.00 and now they are talking 8,000.00 for hearing aids. I just can't afford that. I bought this neck band and it works great! This allows me to clearly hear people in a big conference room and much better in the car. Watching TV is now pleasant again, thank you!
I've had the MX-RIC model for 4 months now and am quite pleased! Prior to that I tried 4 other pairs from various brands from $150 to $2,000 and found that these have the most features of any of them at my price point. I had one issue with the length of the wire and Neosonic lengthened them at no charge. Pricewise you'll see major differences between various brands due to "middle men" and "store front" costs but with these they are coming from a warehouse in the L.A. Area with low costs. I'm very pleased thus far!
Excellent device. I now use it all the time instead of my hearing aids. The sound is clear and more precise than my hearing aids and it would be hard to lose it unlike my hearing aids.
Been hard of hearing since birth. Prescribe hearing aids are broken. Decided to tried OTC hearing aids, none seems to work with the type of hearing loss I have. I decided to try this amplifier neckband, its works perfect for me. I'll recommend this amplifier neckband to anyone with severe hearing loss.
I bought this for my father, who has hearing loss but is also very sensitive to loud noises and background noise, so regular hearing aids are a problem. He also has dementia, so people thought his not participating or tracking conversations was due to that. This proved us all wrong. When using the remote mic, he is able to join the conversation and not be disturbed by loud background noises. The only problem is, it's difficult to know what settings it's on to make it function the way we want for him, and it's also easy for him to accidentally switch modes by handling the collar after I've set it up for him. So this doesn't get used unless I'm there to do it. The staff at the nursing home and my mother (and even brother) can't seem to figure it out. If only this were easier to just turn on and have it function with the remote mic easily, and for others to be able to see the settings, this would be a home run for us. So I'm searching for something else that works like this but is simpler to use. Also, I wish it would have longer battery life.
